Every Flame of Fate: The romantasy book that was never supposed to be.

My best laid plans for an epic romantasy duology about a fugitive who's forced to partner with three rogue guards who are stealing her memories started with a vivid dream. Then scrambling out of bed to slap half a sticky notepad's worth of ideas on the wall. Of course, a plethora more notebooks with frantic plotting laid out the two books.
Two.
But a few of the characters missed that memo.
I remember the night the ship drifted off-course. I'd just written chapter fifty-nine or sixty in the original draft of EVERY THREAD OF LIGHT and sat back just blinking at the screen.
Did I just write the climax?
No, no. I couldn't have. For one, the central romance didn't have time enough to bloom. There was so much depth we hadn't gotten yet. And the confrontation with the monarchy? Crikes, this book would be a 1,000 pages if I did the story justice.
And then my critique partner said, "I think you have enough story to write a third book."
I stared at my screen again. Blink. Blink. Blink. I just spent a year intensely writing the second installment. I was ready to be on to another series. How could I stay in this world another whole year, or more?
I chewed on the decision for a week, but the truth nagged. And then, I asked myself, What if? For me, that's the one question that's always helped me make decisions. What if it was always going to be three books, Sarah? What then?
And the world exploded.
Like all the best romantasy books with magic and morally grey characters who go off the rail, I suppose, EVERY FLAME OF FATE was the story I didn't see coming until it showed up. Andd yet, it is my absolute favorite in the series. These characters go through hell, let me tell you, and some of them don't come back. Not as who they were, or not at all. But my hope is that to you, my reader, it will feel as if the book was always meant to be, deep down in the part of the soul that knows things our minds don't yet.
To celebrate the end of the trilogy and make the book as accessible to readers as I can during these tumultuous times, I'm planning to release the ebook for just 0.99 if you snap it up before release day.
It would mean the world to me if you'd preorder! Get EVERY FLAME OF FATE on Amazon for less than the cost of a bottled water (and just think of how long it will quench your thirst for epic romantasy as you read!).
"But why does the listing have no cover, Sarah?" you ask.
EVERY FLAME's cover reveal is happening on October 27, 2026, on social media to give longtime and new readers a chance to participate in the magic of sharing it with the world. If you want to hype the series, I'd love to have you join!
Thank you with my whole heart for supporting this series. Being an indie author is a constant balance of trying to scrounge up time to write and market your book, so you can afford to keep putting out the books readers say they love. I never take for granted a single person who shows up Ophelia and her morally grey men.
XO,
Sarah
